Hello Lovelies! Today I'm bringing you another Lush Oxford Street Exclusive review, and this time it's the quirky and a little sinister Cyanide Pill Bath Bomb. Honestly I was surprised by the name of this one - Lush naming their bath bomb after a poison? Well stranger things have happened, and I do love the intriguing name.
Cyanide Pill (£3.50) is a pill shaped bath bomb, with a smell as curious as its name. It's very hard to describe but it has a slightly sweet but still woody scent, which only adds more to its mysterious aura. When you drop this into your bath, there is an immediate explosion of yellow and the bath bomb quickly fizzes away. Whilst this happens spurts of grey glitter start to come out of the bath bomb, which murkily lay on the water's surface. And then spurts of red also come out of the bath bomb, but they disappear again into the yellow. If that wasn't sinister enough, this bath bomb also has popping candy to add to the experience.
As far as the bath goes, I feel like it's not the most visually appealing as it feels like this bath bomb could have done with a bit more drama. That said I love the popping candy, and also the scent of it, which remains strong throughout the bath and leaves your water nice and soft.
All in all this definitely wasn't my favourite bath bomb so far from the Oxford Street Exclusives. That's not to say that this isn't a good bath bomb, but compared to gems like The Experimenter, Intergalactic and Frozen it just isn't on the same level for me.
Thank you for reading lovelies! And sorry about the lack of posts this week. I've been quite ill so struggling to really keep up.
This looks really interesting! I'm hopefully going to Lush Oxford street next week and I can't wait to pick up some of the items you've reviewed!

Yeah, I think this is good for people who like that sort of thing but don't think everyone will like it!
DeleteHaha this one seems quite scary. I like my baths to be relaxing and dreamy, not something that reminds me of poison and toxicity!

Really? You so should!
DeleteAll your Lush posts make me so jealous; I don't have a bath to use them in! I have to walk past the Oxford Street store twice daily since it opened, which makes matters worse haha! Only a year to go until I move out, and I will be looking to your blog for bath time inspiration!xx
