Hello Lovelies! This is definitely the hardest post I've ever had to write on my little corner of the internet. Recently I've thought a lot about what I want to do with my blog in 2016, and it's mostly been very trivial things like my schedule etc... Things that in the grand scheme of things don't really matter. But one of things I wanted to do above everything else is to introduce two advertisement packages for 2016, in aid of two different charities. I'll talk about the other in another post, but today I wanted to talk about Natalie Scott.
I should start off by saying, I never actually met Natalie. She's the sister of one of the loveliest guys I know, so I can only imagine she was just the loveliest person too. Her family describe her as one of the girls with a happy, funny soul and a sparkly personality. Even these pictures of her speak a thousand words, and you can just tell that she was a fun, radiant and happy girl. The truth is when I see all these pictures it makes me think of myself, and how lucky I am to be healthy and here today and to live in 2016, a future that Natalie didn't get. I hope through this blog I can tell as many people as I can about Natalie, so that she can continue to impact and inspire the world even when she's not here to do it today. I want to give her a future, and I want to help raise money in her name so that she can live on in the minds of people who never even knew her.
Beautiful Natalie passed away on the 4th of December 2015, taken suddenly by the horrific disease meningococcal septicaemia. The scary thing is just how quickly it all happened, and how unexpected it was. It shows just how important education on Meningitis is, as simply recognising the symptoms can help save a life (you can take a look at them here). Even though we can't bring Natalie back, we can help to save other people like her and that is what I hope to do here on VVNightingale.
The Natalie Scott Package has four slots per month (each £3.00 with all proceeds going to her memorial fund for The Meningitis Research Fund)
Thank you for reading lovelies! Do get in touch with me if you'd like to buy one of my packages in memory of Natalie, it would really mean a lot. You can find out about advertising on my blog here.
good for you for doing this! Hope you are able to raise as much as you can!

Aww thank you, I hope so too! x
DeleteI have no words...she was so young and I can't imagine what her family is going through. As I said previously, Vicky, I want to be a part of both your advertising slots in different months and I will be in touch once I'm back from Malaysia.
ReplyDeleteHugs, so proud of you that you're doing this.
