You might think that once you've written a post, your job is done. There's nothing more you can do except press publish, and wait for people to read it. The reality is there are so many little things you can do to get more people following you, reading your blog posts and generally feeling at home. So here are my tips to make the most of the end of your posts!
LINKWITHIN/ENGAGEYA/NRELATE (You May Also Like...)
Adding a 'You May Also Like...' widget to the bottom of your posts will help to reduce your bounce rate (bounce rate is how many people leave your blog straight after reading your post) and share some of your older content with your readers. I really love EngageYa because you can customise the widget quite a bit to suit your blog - you can get the widget here [x]. You can also use Nrelate [x] and LinkWithIn [x].
COMMENT SYSTEM
When reading other people's blogs, I have seen so many 'I HATE CAPTCHA' posts. So it figures that it's a good idea to get rid of Captcha. You don't need to, but removing it will help people to comment more easily. You can disable Captcha by going to Settings > Posts and Comments > Show Word Verification > No. You can also choose to moderate your comments if you worry about spam, but I think that you should only do this only if you can regularly moderate them. Alternatively you can also consider installing other comment systems such as Disqus, which you can find out how to install here [x].
SIGNATURE
Signatures at the end of a blog post can really help to bring a personal touch. I was a bit lazy and just decided to sign my posts off with a mini version of my header, but you can also create your own signature online with sites like fontmeme.
ADD SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS
I like to put my social media links at the end of my post just in case someone feels like following me or having a look at my twitter or youtube. A good tip is to go to Settings > Posts and Comments > Post Template and use the html code <a href="url">link text</a> for each of your social media links. This means that whenever you make a post all these links will appear automatically so you don't have to remember to put them into every post you do.
I love it when I go to comment on a blog and there's a little message from the person who writes the blog. You can do this really simply by going to Settings > Post and Comments > Comment Form Message.
Have a great day lovelies, hope you found these tips helpful!

DeleteThese are all really great tips that for some reason I do not follow on my blog! I would definitely recommend these things to clients, but I always kind of rush my own blog design and forget to do these things for myself. I should take a few minutes to look the ends of my posts over!
