Review: MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer

Hey there lovelies! I recently went to Superdrug and took advantage of their 3 for 2 deal (across all cosmetics), which will probably be the death of me because now it's just that bit more tempting to go on a makeup splurge...

Anyways, I picked up this MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer (£3.00) in the shade Reckless. The first thing I noticed about this, is I actually really love the packaging. MUA tends to have quite dull, simple packaging but I loved that this has a frosted glass look with gold font details.

I have to say I was pretty surprised by how much I like this. When you apply it to your lips, it looks quite glossy at first but it quickly dries to a lovely velvety matte finish. This is great as because it's so dry it really doesn't come off at all and has great staying power. The downside of this is that if your lips are dry, it will show up when you wear this, so it's best to use a lip scrub or lip balm before hand! The applicator wand is quite basic so it can be hard to apply to your lips, but really you just have to be careful when using that.
