Review: Lush's Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt


Hello Lovelies! How is your Thursday going? Today I'm going to be telling you my thoughts on one of Lush's Easter bath bombs, Golden Egg (£3.75). First impressions of Golden Egg are that it is completely and utterly covered in glitter and weirdly enough kind of looks like a potato to me - am I the only one who sees that?! It has this gorgeous sweet honey/toffee smell, that I love but could possibly be a little too sweet for some of you. 

When you put Golden Egg in your bath it fizzes away super slowly (probably because it's also a bath melt), and eventually turns your water a beautiful yellow colour. Because this bath bomb melt has cocoa butter in it as well, the bath water feels very lovely and silky as well as smelling lovely. 


All in all, I did really like Golden Egg. My only negative is how long it took to dissolve but that is probably just impatience on my part!

    I really need to go into Lush and get some of their easter collection! This bath melt looks so lovely and the perfect way to get excited for easter! I lovw how it looks in the water too! x x x

    Haha, it definitely looks like a potato! Great spot. I wish I had a bath in my current apartment. I really miss having a Lush bath - the bubble bars are my fave! x

    Hey, does it make you really glittery? It sounds kinda weird, but I tried the Star Bright, Star Light Bath Melt which left me covered in glitter! I like the look of this but I don't want the same problem Xx

      It didn't actually (at least I didn't notice the glitter so much). But if you're worried about that you can always wash the glitter off first!

    I tried this product last year and frankly I was unimpressed with it.
    I thought for the price of it it wasn't very spectacular cause it was much more expensive than some of the other items in the collection. Glad you enjoyed it though.
