The Girl Behind The Blog



Hey lovelies! Today has been a great day. It was actually sunny for once and me and my friends got our first Starbucks Frappucinos of the year, so it really is starting to feel like Spring (even if it is still kind of freezing!). For today's post I thought it was about time I shared some random facts about myself with you so you can get to know me just that little bit better. Here goes:


1. I love Lush (who would have guessed?!), but the obsession only really started because of this blog as I love reviewing them so much. Before I usually just bought a couple a year, how times have changed...
2. I love runway fashion and I'm a bit of a fashion nerd - I'm seeing Alexander McQueen's Savage Beauty exhibition on my birthday and I am way too excited!
3. I'm currently and have for a while, suffered from a pastel addiction - so 90% of the time I'll have at least one piece of pastel clothing on. 
4. Bourjois is my favourite drugstore beauty brand - I've never once been disappointed with any of their products!
5. I love languages and have studied Russian and Mandarin and am currently doing Japanese and Korean at SOAS university!
6. My favourite youtubers are CutiePieMarzia and Pewdiepie.
7. My go to perfume is Daisy, I love everything about it. 
8. I'm a very shy person, but once you get to know me I can be exactly the opposite. 
9. I used to have the worst and most painful panic attacks all the time, but now I hardly ever have one which just goes to show how you can overcome anxiety. 
10. Jane Austen is my favourite author, and I am basically in love with Mr Darcy and Mr Knightly.
11. I have an adorable Shetland Sheepdog, who featured in this post.
12. I'm a K-pop fan and actually saw the Gangnam Style MV the day it was released.
13. I'm scared of opening cans because I hate the sharp edges but my favourite food is canned tuna. Life hates me.
14. I hate drama, and I'm really passive. It takes a lot to get me angry. 
15. I'm a big LGBT rights campaigner, and look forward to the day when anyone can be who they want and love whoever they want.
16. My biggest crush is a Korean rapper called T.O.P, and I actually used to blog about him every day on a Tumblr blog called TOP-oppa but now I just blog there every now and then.
17. I love Pokemon, and actually got the latest game. In fact I love video games in general, I play Super Smash Bros way too much.
18. I don't drink alcohol but I drink a lot of Starbucks, like a lot.
19. I've dreamed about going to Japan and Korea for years and now I am finally going in a week or so, get ready for all the photo posts!
20. My favourite site at the moment for quirky gifts is ohhdeer.com
21. Most of my clothes are from Topshop, but I don't buy clothes very often because I am so picky.
22. The three words used to describe me in my year book were 'Hello Kitty Obsessed'. If you saw my room you'd see why.
23. I got upset when the sorting hat put me in Hufflepuff instead of Gryffindor but accepted it when my sister was placed in Hufflepuff too. 
24. My all time favourite Tv show is Friends. 
25. My dream guy is essentially Jim from the US office.

    Great post! Nice learning more about you! :) I was wanting to try something from the Bourjois line before but when I found it I thought it was very pricey for a drugstore brand!

    Amazing how u can tackle on so many languages!! Do u self study?
    And I love cutiepiemarzia as well!!! I especially love videos where they are togther (pewdiepie and cutiepiemarzia) They're just so cute (and weird) together

      I was taught Russian and Japanese at school, and had a tutor for Mandarin but learnt Korean on the side! Yeah I love them as a couple!

I can't believe you studied that many languages, do you speak Mandarin then? And it's so cool that you're visiting Japan and Korea, it's the two countries that I've dreamt of visiting for so long.       I speak a little Mandarin (haven't done it in a while though), but I only learnt it for about three years but I want to start learning it again someday!

    This is a lovely post, I love getting to know the person behind a blog! We have so many things in common! I LOVE Jane Austen (Mr Darcy is my idea of the ideal gentleman), Friends, and LUSH, too, and I'm also a bit shy until you get to know me, and then I CAN be the total opposite :) thanks for sharing x
