Hello Lovelies! You've probably all heard about Benefit's Dandelion Blusher, but is it really worth the hype?
The Dandelion Blusher (£23.50) is actually one of my sister's all time favourite products so I got it for my sister at Christmas and in return she let me try it out so I can review it on my blog - and sneakily use it now and then.
First impressions is I really love the packaging. It's cute and compact with a tiny brush and a mirror, so is perfect for carrying around with you in your handbag to top up during the day if you need to. The actual blusher has a really pretty smell, but it's not heavily perfumed or anything.
When you apply it, it gives your skin a very subtle pink glow (so subtle that I didn't think it was worth doing a swatch) which is perfect if you have super pale skin like me and want something to brighten it up. What I will say is that it is a very light pink, so if you favour a bold blusher rather than a subtle one then this definitely isn't for you and I'm not so sure if it would show up so well on darker skin either.
The real question is, would I buy this for myself? Probably, because it's pretty much the perfect blusher for me, if not a little overpriced - but this will definitely last a very long time.

Have you tried Benefit's Dandelion blusher? Let me know in the comment section below! If you haven't, do you want to?
I don't know why but the packaging puts me off for that price, but the colour does look lovely :)

I get what you mean, I don't like the fact that it's cardboard because I don't think it wears particularly well!
DeleteI love Dandelion! I got this in a palette at Christmas and I've been using it ever since. I'm super pale so I normally apply it softly to my whole face to brighten it up x
ReplyDeleteAlways, Alice x
Yeah it really brightens up the face nicely! :)
DeleteIt's definitely over priced and I don't think I'll purchase it for myself. Have you tried NYX powder blushers? I'm a huge fan of it, very pigmented, long lasting and very budget friendly! xx

I haven't actually - I've only really ever used Bourjois's blusher because I'm so loyal to it haha. But thanks for the recommendation, may need to try that out!
DeleteI haven't used this product before but it sounds really good!
ReplyDeleteI've got my eyes on a Sleek gold shimmer blusher :)

Ooh, Sleek is amazing for blushers! My sister loves them!
DeleteThis sounds really nice! I'm not sure that it would be the best for me, though, and probably not for that price haha ♥

Yeah, you definitely would have to try it out first before investing that much!
DeleteThis is the first high end blusher I tried and I still have it. It's reached pan but there is still a good lot left of it.
ReplyDeleteI am not that pale and I love it. Benefit also have a few other really nice blushers too! My fave is Coralista.

I haven't tried that one, but I really want to!
DeleteI really want to get this because i'm not a blush girl, and when I do wear it I like it to be subtle. Great review will have to snatch it up on my next trip to Mecca! x
ReplyDeleteAwesome :)

It is!
DeleteOoo, the blusher itself looks incredibly tempting! Sounds great as I don't really go for blusher most of the time, so being subtle but a gorgeous finish would be perfect. I also like the fact it has a mirror in-case you want to pop it in your handbag etc.

Deletethis is the most gorgeous blush shade! Perfect for Spring xx
