Hello Lovelies! Recently because I've been going a little bit crazy with spending *cough* Lush and Starbucks *cough* I've put myself on a spending ban, so the inspiration for my little corner of the internet has been running a bit dry. And by a bit dry, I really mean my mind has become a desert. Luckily for me though, my sister Lizzie is a lifesaver because she has excellent taste and actually lets me review things she buys (Thank God for siblings). One of her most recent purchases, which I really have to resist stealing off her is this adorable Maggs London Loveday Makeup Bag (£26.99).
Maggs London is run by Hannah Michalak (Hannah Maggs) a really lovely youtuber who does vlogs with her beautiful family on the channel, The Michalaks. She's actually one of the most genuine, lovely youtubers so do have a look at her channel if you've never heard of her! Around a year or so ago, she started her own line of makeup bags because she felt that there really wasn't a great enough range of them around despite them being something women use so often. Each of her makeup bags are handmade, with beautiful fabric and a lovely little story behind them. The Loveday bag is dedicated to embracing change in your life which is a really lovely message, especially for people like me who are always scared of change. Talking of change, I'll be living in Japan next year and yes I am terrified. So I could probably learn from this makeup bag and realise that although change is scary, it often leads to something amazing.
As far as the makeup bag goes, it's a standard everyday makeup bag size so perfect for popping in your handbag on the go or travelling with. What I love most about it is that it feels handmade, and you can tell all the love that has gone in to making it, down to the adorable Maggs London label. It also has waterproof/plastic lining inside so you don't need to worry about staining the pretty fabric on the outside. All in all I really do love this makeup bag, and although it is on the pricier side at £26.99, it's nice to have something that is handmade, with a lovely message behind it too.
Thank you for reading lovelies! Have you ever seen any of The Michalaks family vlogs?
