Lush | Lava Lamp Bath Bomb

Hello Lovelies! Remember when I reviewed Lava Lamp before and it turned into a bit of a purple disaster? Well today I'm trying out the new formulated Lava Lamp (£3.95) to see if it's even better this time around, or just leaves a purple mess. Out of all the Lush designs it's actually up there with my favourites, I mean who didn't love Lava Lamps as a kid? I used to think they were the coolest thing ever, so this bath bomb leaves me feeling just that little bit nostalgic.

The first thing you should probably know about Lava Lamp is that it has the most gorgeous orange smell, like seriously so amazing and probably one of my favourite scents but if I'm honest that's the best thing about this bath bomb. When you drop it in the water, it fizzes away quickly spurting out orange and circles of purple oil. I noticed that compared to the original one the oil wasn't quite as impressive, and honestly a little underwhelming. After draining the bath there was still a bit of a purple mess, although not as bad as last time but I still ended up having to clean my bath properly which isn't what I like to do when I'm relaxing!

To be honest, my verdict on this one is that it isn't really worth the hassle. It isn't as bad as last time mess wise but the display it gives is much more disappointing, and honestly it makes me think that the oil they use isn't even worth it. I hate to give a Lush bath bomb a bad review, but for me this just left me feeling disappointed.
