Hello Lovelies! When it comes to haircare, I will put my hands up and say I'm very lazy. I can't actually remember the last time I bought a product for my hair that wasn't shampoo or conditioner, which says a lot about how my poor old hair gets treated. Maybe it's just me but I find it hard to get excited about haircare, especially as a lot of it can turn your hair into an absolute hair-mare. But Percy and Reed is a brand that always manage to bring a smile to my face because they are just so sassy and fun. So when I saw that Elle had Percy & Reed Wonder Perfectly Perfecting Overnight Recovery (£20.00 for 1 150ml tube) as a freebie, I snapped it up and here we are. The amount of times I've bought a magazine just for the freebie is a bit shameful... But I know you've all done it too, so you can't judge me.
How you use the Wonder Overnight Recovery is simple enough, as you just apply it to dry hair from roots to tip just before you go to bed. You don't have to worry about this transferring onto your pillow or anything like that because it dries almost instantly, and doesn't feel icky or anything. Then in the morning all you have to do is wash it out with shampoo, skip the conditioner and voila hair makeover. But before I go on and tell you if this gave me a bad hair day, or I woke up feeling like a Disney princess, I'll confess something to y'all. The first time I used this stupid ol' me didn't read the instructions properly, and didn't realise you had to wash this out in the morning. Safe to say I had interesting hair that day... Read the instructions properly kids, you'll thank me later.
The second time I used this, properly, I had mixed results. Percy and Reed say this will help you repair your hair, fight frizz and just generally give your hair a makeover. Whilst they did deliver on making my hair feel healthier, and giving it more volume, it did not help the frizz at all. I have quite curly/wavy hair and honestly after using this my hair has been so knotted and frizzy. So for people with hair like me who are planning to use this, do use conditioner because this does not condition your hair enough. But that said I think this will be a great product for people who have quite limp or thin hair to give it a bit more life, I just feel like it's not that suitable for those with curly hair. Would I pick this up for myself? No, but I'd still recommend it.
Thank you for reading lovelies! Have you ever used any Percy and Reed products?
I'm the same with hair care, I can't remember the last time I bought anything for my hair that wasn't a necessity! I just find most products make my hair greasy.
ReplyDeleteShame that this isn't the best for thick hair otherwise I definitely would have picked up Elle to try it if it was still around.

I've never heard of this brand, it does sound good, but my hair is always frizzy, so it might not be too much help to me! However, I really do want to try a hair product that I leave on overnight, and that dries instantly, I would hate the feeling of it going all over my pillows, so this does sound really good in that aspect!!
