Hello Lovelies! It's no secret that I'm one big fan of Christmas so I thought I'd share with you 20 of the little things I absolutely love about this time of year. Here goes:
1. Buying gifts. This one probably isn't a surprise if you know me well but I'm obsessed with gift giving, mostly because I'm one of the most sentimental people you'll ever meet... Done most of my Christmas shopping already (eek!).
2. Stockings. My stocking is just about the only thing that still makes me feel like a kid on Christmas day. Kudos to my mum for still doing me one even though I'm 20!
3. Advent calendars. Ok I do wish I had a beauty one this year, but I have the cutest bear Lindt one, and the chocolate is the yummiest ever so that totally makes up for it.
4. Christmas cards. I'm sending out some this year to bloggers and I just think they're the loveliest thing. But honestly I do miss primary school when everyone used to send them to each other (even the people you didn't like), and you'd make one of those big cardboard postboxes. Ah primary school. Everything Christmas-y was better at primary school.
5. Candy canes. They're like one of my favourite sweet things ever, and you bet I'll be eating shameless amounts of them this month. R.I.P my teeth!
6. Decorating the Christmas tree and finding old decorations you made when you were like 5 and basically realising that you were an art prodigy. My crumbly old pikachu decoration is a masterpiece, thank you very much.
7. Crackers. We all know the jokes are awful, the prizes rubbish and the hats ruin your hair but don't you just love crackers?
8. All the festive drinks. Especially the Costa gingerbread latte with the little gingerbread man on top. Favourite thing ever. Although shoutout to Starbucks for doing the cutest cups this year. Love, love, love.
9. Christmas films, and frankly the cheesier the better. I'm one of those awful people who watches the Hallmark films (ya know the bad ones) and I'm not even sorry about it...
10. Seeing family. A lot of my family don't live in London, so it's lovely to have an excuse to see them all and catch up.
11. Christmas TV specials, especially the Doctor Who one because you know tradition. Although I'll be majorly missing Downton Abbey this year!
12. The Christmas spirit gets you through the cold dark days. Sure it's dark at 4, but at least we got pretty Christmas lights and the occasional carol singer.
13. All the gingerbread everything. I make a house each year from a kit and it's tradition. I just really love gingerbread guys.
14. Christmas food. Give me mince pies, copious amounts of roast potatoes and turkey and I'm one happy girl.

Aww this post has me feeling all festive. I'm obsessed with gingerbread too this time of year, though I've not quite attempted a gingerbread house yet xx
